Intrigued by the engine. How much and how many horsepower? If you don't mind. I built a Legal Eagle also. Had trouble with low power engines so I now have a 503 Rotax on it. Haven't flown it yet. I was also wondering, are you using a header tank for fuel, because I noticed that your fuel line runs "up hill" when the plane is sitting on it's tail.

Dan,
The Valley engineering big twin is a converted Generac 992cc 4 stroke swinging a 74X44 prop. the complete engine setup with reduction unit and prop weighs 120lbs. the engine generates 37hp and burns 1.25gal per hour. according to the previous owner this engine will pull the plane skyward at 900fpm. I have a 5 gallon wing tank and a diaphram type fuel pump to get the fuel to the engine.

Hi all,
I have moved my Legal Eagle to the hanger and am currently doing tail up taxi and awaiting my chute from BRS. I hope to be in the air by mid september.
